The account had not posted since 2006, but the password reset request arrived with perfect details, including an old email address that no longer existed. Karl checked the logs, expecting spam, and instead found a login attempt from an address block reserved for a research lab that had closed years earlier. When the account finally posted, it thanked the forum for remembering it and asked whether anyone had kept a copy of the private board
I read every reply. Even the bad ones.
