Fun little writing challenge for anyone who fancies a go, tell a complete tiny story in a single paragraph about a stranger leaving a note for someone. Could be sweet, mysterious, funny, whatever direction you want to take it. Just needs to fit in one paragraph and actually feel like a full little story. No pressure to be a professional writer here, just have fun with it

Curious to see how many completely different directions people take the exact same simple prompt. Post yours below whenever inspiration strikes

The note on my windshield just said thank you for parking so badly, made me laugh for the first time all week. I never found out who left it. Still think about it sometimes when I'm having a rough day

She found the note tucked inside a library book she'd borrowed dozens of times over the years without ever noticing it. It simply said, hope this one finds you at the right moment. She sat down right there in the aisle and read the whole book again. Some messages apparently just wait for the right reader

A note on my coffee cup from the barista said your playlist choice today was genuinely excellent, keep it up.

I have no idea how she knew what I was listening to through my headphones. Made my entire morning regardless of the mystery

He left a note in the returned rental car glovebox that just said, drive safe, whoever you are next. The next renter apparently left one too, continuing the tradition. Nobody knows how many cars down the line that note has traveled by now

Someone left a note on the community garden gate simply reading, thank you for the tomatoes, whoever you are. Nobody in the neighborhood ever claimed credit for growing them
