Rigetti is a bit of a cautionary tale. They were one of the early startups with superconducting qubits and a cloud platform, but scaling and consistency have been tough.

That said, they are still in the game and contributing to the ecosystem. Not every company needs to be number one to be relevant.

The field is still young enough that today's underdog could pivot and become tomorrow's leader. We have seen that happen in other tech sectors plenty of times.

So writing anyone off at this stage feels premature
