Q: Should normal website owners worry about QDay?
A: They should pay attention, but not panic or buy miracle security products.

Q: What matters most right now?
A: Keep servers patched, use modern TLS, avoid old crypto, protect backups, and know where sensitive data is stored.

Q: Do small sites need post quantum encryption today?
A: Most small sites mainly need to keep their stack current so they can adopt better defaults when hosting providers and browsers make them practical.

Q: What is the smartest first step? A: Make an inventory of domains, certificates, backups, stored secrets, and old systems, because you cannot protect what you have forgotten.

The inventory point is boring but absolutely right. Most small sites do not even know where all their old backups are.  Backup, triple backup. Both SSD, HDD and USB. Offline and online

I like that this avoids panic. Basic security work still matters more than buying some quantum branded product.

For forums, stored user data and old database dumps are probably the first things worth reviewing.

This is the one I would pin because it turns QDay into practical admin work instead of sci-fi fear.
