What is the best simple explanation you have ever heard for quantum superposition?

Superposition is one of those quantum concepts that almost everyone has heard referenced casually, usually via Schrodinger's famous cat thought experiment, but that genuinely resists any truly satisfying intuitive explanation once you try to actually understand what is happening rather than just repeating the analogy. Physicists themselves openly disagree about how literally to interpret superposition, whether a particle genuinely exists in multiple states simultaneously until measured, or whether the mathematics is simply the best available description of something our everyday intuition was never built to properly grasp in the first place.

Explanations range from the classic coin spinning in the air before landing, to more technical descriptions involving wave functions and probability amplitudes, and everyone seems to have their own preferred way of making the concept click, or at least click a little better than it did before. What is the best explanation or analogy for superposition you have personally come across, and did it actually help you understand it any better?
