Saudi Arabia's Quantum Forum 2026 wraps up focused on building talent

The Quantum Forum 2026 concluded in Riyadh, organized by C4IR Saudi Arabia in partnership with King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology, King Salman Science Oasis, and the Institute for Advanced Studies and Cooperation, under the theme Shaping the Quantum Workforce. The forum brought together government entities, academia, industry and investment representatives specifically to focus on developing the workforce and capabilities needed for Saudi Arabia's emerging quantum economy

C4IR Saudi Arabia board chairman Dr. Talal AlSedairy said World Quantum Day in the Kingdom has evolved over the past three years from simply introducing the technology into a genuine platform for dialogue about what's actually needed to build a working quantum economy, emphasizing that talent and partnerships need to mature starting now rather than later. King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology also announced two strategic partnerships, with Pasqal and Imperial College London, to support quantum research and develop national talent, alongside launching Quantathon, a quantum technologies hackathon developed with Pasqal

The Saudi Quantum Computing Association also presented its Quantum Computing Dictionary initiative, inviting specialists to help build out specialized Arabic language content for the field.
