Quantum sensing is closer to commercialization. Companies are using quantum sensors now for specific measurements. Quantum computing is further out. Yet people conflate them constantly. Quantum sensing can be revolutionary without quantum computing ever working. Quantum computing can exist without revolutionary sensing. The confusion matters because readiness strategies are different. If you're preparing for quantum threat to encryption you need quantum computing readiness not quantum sensing readiness. Media blurs these distinctions constantly. Clarity on which quantum threat you're addressing matters.

Good distinction. Quantum sensing is basically solved technology at this point. Companies are deploying it. Computing is still theoretical for most applications
