AMD is positioning itself as enabler of hybrid quantum-classical computing not pure quantum. The thesis is quantum handles specific problems classical handles everything else. Quantum won't replace classical it will augment classical. That's realistic and different from some quantum company hype suggesting quantum takes over. AMD's position gives them strategic advantage. They own classical chip markets. Adding quantum integration means they stay relevant in post-quantum era. Pure quantum companies have nothing if quantum doesn't arrive. AMD hedges by staying dominant in classical while exploring quantum. This might be the smartest corporate strategy in the space. Hybrid quantum-classical is probably the long-term architecture anyway. Specialized quantum nodes connected to classical infrastructure. AMD is positioning for that future.

AMD's strategy is smart because it's realistic. Quantum will never replace classical. It's a specialized tool. Hybrid is the real future

Pure quantum companies are betting everything on quantum arriving soon. AMD is betting on gradual integration. AMD's bet is safer
