Post-quantum security planning is spreading across Asia. The Quantum Insider reports that SpecterAI and Vietnamese IT company HPT signed detailed schedules on 28 October, extending a partnership first agreed in June 2026

The agreement covers quantum security training through 55 AI proctored labs, a five phase post-quantum migration service, and compliance checks against the NIST standards FIPS 203, 204 and 205 as well as Vietnamese standards

HPT will handle implementation, while SpecterAI will validate the work independently. The people involved include HPT deputy chief executive Nguyen Thanh Nam, Dr Trinh Ngoc Minh of HPT, SpecterAI chief technical consultant Michael Thompson and SpecterAI Asia Pacific chairman Dr Peter Huynh

Nam said that with international deadlines now set, organisations need to prepare and begin their post-quantum migration journey. Training cohorts for banks are planned but have not yet been delivered, and no financial terms were disclosed

Separating implementation from independent validation is a sensible way to build trust, because it avoids one company marking its own homework. Training is often the most overlooked part of migration, so 55 labs is a useful commitment. It shows quantum readiness is no longer just a concern for the biggest economies

Is training the biggest gap in post-quantum preparation? And should validation always be independent of implementation?
