Simple game, rules in the post.
Real answers from people here are usually more useful than search results.
I have seen conflicting advice elsewhere and wanted to get a more grounded take on it. :P

Welcome to the game! Starting word: Sunshine. Always nice when a thread like this appears because you never know where the next person will take it. :)
Sunshine --> Holiday. My brain went straight to beaches and doing absolutely nothing for a week
;)
Holiday -> Relaxation. A rare thing that seems to disappear the moment you have chores waiting. :D
Relaxation -> Sleep. The one activity everyone needs but somehow manages to avoid.
Sleep -> Dreams. Some are amazing, some are just your brain making a strange movie with no budget. ;D
Dreams -> Imagination. Probably responsible for half the great ideas humans have had.
Imagination -> Creativity. The reason we have books, films, music and probably some very questionable inventions too. :P
Creativity -> Art. A simple word but it covers so many different ways people express themselves.
Art -> Painting. Classic choice, although my artistic talent stops somewhere around drawing a decent stick figure. :-[
Painting -> Colour. Amazing how much mood can change just by adding different colours.
Colour -> Rainbow. Nature showing off a little and making everyone stop to look. :)
Rainbow -> Treasure. Usually the next thing people expect to find at the end, even if it never happens.
Treasure -> Adventure. The kind of word that makes you want to pack a bag and see where the road goes. 8)
