Forum games are one of the things that keep a community ticking over between big news stories. They are low effort to join, they get quieter members posting and they often run for years. We have a few running here, and I would like to know which kinds people enjoy most before starting any new ones
Wordplay games like word association, last letter or rhyme chains are easy to dip into for a minute. Quizzes test knowledge and often spark side conversations. Roleplay threads take more commitment, but they can create brilliant shared stories. Prediction games, whether for sport, tech launches or quantum milestones, give a reason to come back and check results
Each format suits a different kind of member. Some people want something quick on a coffee break, while others love a long running game with a bit of competition. A good mix probably serves the forum best
