A good poetry topic should be narrow enough to invite real thought, and memorable lines are a strong angle because everyone can answer differently. Some people remember sound, some remember image, and some remember the emotional hit more than the actual meaning

That makes this board useful for both readers and writers. It also encourages people to quote very short fragments or describe effects without turning the thread into a literature lecture

The deeper question is whether a great line works because of language alone or because it catches a feeling at exactly the right time
