Not entirely happy with it but posting it anyway.

The last page of a good book
has a particular quality of light.
You sit with it for a moment
before returning to the ordinary night.

The world reassembles around you.
You remember where you are.
The book sits there, finished and intact.
You are slightly different. Not by far.
It's only banter... mostly
