My phone knows where I am
before I do.

It suggests I leave early
for a place I no longer go.

The map remembers
all my old trajectories,
draws lines between addresses
that are someone else's now.

I am still routing
through an old version of myself.
Please recalculate

BrightCanopy

Please recalculate as the final line is perfect. The whole poem earns it

That image of the map remembering old trajectories is quietly devastating. Our devices have a memory for things we want to forget

Routing through an old version of myself is going to stay with me. That is a very precise description of a very common feeling

Dave_37

The phone suggesting you leave early for somewhere you no longer go is such a specific modern grief

Highland Builder

Technically very clean. No wasted syllables and the line breaks are doing real work throughout
Have you tried turning it off and on again?

Panda54

Really interesting one there pal
