Haiku are a wonderful form for beginners and experienced poets alike. The traditional English version uses three lines of five, seven and five syllables, though many poets treat that loosely. Haiku usually focus on a single moment or image, often from nature, with a small twist or shift in perspective. Their brevity makes them perfect for a forum challenge

This challenge comes with a theme suited to qday.forum. Write a haiku about technology, quantum physics, AI or modern life. It could be funny, thoughtful or a bit strange. Phones, chargers, Wi-Fi, qubits, chatbots and smart speakers are all fair game

Here is mine to start things off. Qubit in the cold, both here and not here at once, like me on Mondays. I will admit the syllables might be slightly off. The spirit is what matters

Please only post your own original haiku. Feel free to post more than one if inspiration strikes, and do comment on any that make you smile

Let's see how many we can collect
Somewhere between inspired and overwhelmed

Phone at one percent, a stranger's charger glows, kindness in a cable. I love the idea of tiny acts of tech generosity. Strangers sharing chargers on trains restores my faith in people
