This article highlights Tim Cook's leadership at Apple and his nomination or recognition in the tech industry. It focuses on his operational excellence, ability to scale Apple's ecosystem, and maintain strong financial performance after Steve Jobs. It also touches on his emphasis on privacy and sustainability. Personally, Cook often gets underestimated because he is not as visionary as Jobs, but his execution has been incredibly effective.
Is operational leadership more valuable than visionary leadership in today's tech world?

Cook deserves more credit than he usually gets. Taking over after Steve Jobs was never going to be an easy job, and he managed to keep Apple growing while also expanding its services business and pushing the company deeper into areas like wearables. That is a pretty serious leadership record.

The interesting question is whether his biggest achievement was avoiding unnecessary disruption. Apple did not need another Jobs clone; it needed someone who could run an enormous company at scale. Cook has largely done that.
