Band reunions are one of music's great hopes and great disappointments. Fans spend years dreaming of their favourite group getting back together, only for the reunion to be ruined by missing members, tired performances or expensive tickets. But sometimes a reunion is magical, giving fans a chance to see a band they thought they would never see again. The Oasis reunion tour in 2025 showed just how much excitement a long awaited comeback can generate

Other bands have reformed in recent years too. Blur, Pulp, Girls Aloud, the Sugababes and Busted have all returned to the stage in one form or another. Some bands seem impossible to reunite, whether because of deep personal feuds, lost members or simple lack of interest. Others appear every few years as rumours that never quite come true

My wish would be for Talking Heads to perform together again. The band reunited briefly for interviews and appearances around the anniversary rerelease of Stop Making Sense, which got fans excited. But as far as I know, a full reunion tour has never happened. Seeing them live would be a dream, even if I know it is unlikely

Please name the band, and say whether you think it could happen. Bands from any genre or era are welcome, along with your predictions for which reunions would be brilliant and which would be best left alone. Some bands are better remembered as they were

Which band do you wish would get back together? And which reunion would you rather never happened?

White Stripes, for me. Simple, raw and loud

Jack White seems happy doing his own thing, so it is unlikely. Meg White's drumming gets far more respect now than it did at the time
Not financial advice. Not medical advice. Just vibes.
