Music discovery algorithms are good but inconsistent. Spotify can nail a recommendation or offer complete garbage. Real discovery happens through people recommendations. Friends with good taste. Radio shows. Blogs. Curated playlists by actual humans. Concerts where you discover opening acts. YouTube rabbit holes at 2am. Digging through discographies of artists you love. The hunt for new music you connect with is part of the joy. What's your method? Do you trust algorithms? Do you follow specific curators? Do you stumble into music randomly and dig deeper?

Bandcamp is where I find most music now. Independent artists releasing real work. Algorithm can't compete with curation

Following music journalists and reviewers on social media. They have taste I trust. Their recommendations are solid
