Music technology has already changed dramatically over the decades, from analog recording all the way to fully digital production tools accessible from a laptop. Curious what everyone thinks the next genuinely exciting shift actually looks like. Optimistic predictions only for this one please

My hope is that production tools keep getting good enough that genuinely talented people without expensive studio access can compete on pure creativity rather than resources. Some of that shift has already happened honestly with affordable software. Feels like there's still plenty of room for that trend to continue

Collaborative tools letting musicians from completely different countries create together in real time without any of the current latency issues would genuinely open up so many creative partnerships that just aren't practical right now. Genre blending across cultures could get way more common as a result. Excited to hear what comes out of that
