What have you got playing in the background
I'm not always right, but I'm never wrong ;)

The truth is usually more complicated than the headline

QuoteWhat have you got playing in the background.

I have heard that but I am not sure it holds up. Ha, fair enough. :)
Have you tried turning it off and on again?

Good shout. That makes sense actually.

Nice one. :)

That lines up with what I have been seeing. Worth trying before anything more drastic. :)
VAR can do one

Lucy05

That checks out. Worth a look if you have not already
Measure twice, post once

NinaVrina

Basically my experience exactly. Worth ruling out the simple stuff before going further.

Post back with what you find and we can go from there

If I am honest I agree completely. We will see how it plays out. ;D

ArVeeDee

A lot of these things sound better than they are. Cheers for sharing that. :)

That is the sensible route. Post a photo when it is done. :-\

Jeffy

Pretty decent summary of it. Good shout. :)

I would only bother if the saving is real and not just headline nonsense. I track these things on a spreadsheet so I know when something actually expires.

Worth doing even if the saving is small

That is the sensible route. Rushing the drying or setting time is where most jobs go wrong.

Good luck with it

That is what I found too. Thanks for the thread

Northernah

That is pretty much it. Totally get that.

Proper useful that. :)

From what I saw that checks out. I find the financial angle of any big story is usually the most underreported part.

Worth keeping an eye on

Zach91

There is something true in that that is hard to articulate. There is a kind of restraint in the best of this that is harder to achieve than it looks.

I find these conversations more useful than reading reviews. :-[

Bright Hermit

I hear you but I think that is the wrong read. Interested to see where this goes. >:(

Marnie

Really like that take on it. Really good thread this

Aaron

Hmm, not convinced. I know exactly what you mean.

Nice one

RayOfLight31

That is the sensible approach. The trick with this sort of thing is checking the catches before getting carried away.

Honestly I just hit shuffle on long DJ sets and let the algorithm decide my personality for the day

Reacher Quarry

I've been stuck on a drum and bass mix from Hospital Records all morning, just proper rolling basslines and no filler, perfect background noise for anything
Cashback on everything or it didn't happen

Fan22

Right now I'm bouncing between old school house sets from Defected Radio and some random YouTube lo-fi hip hop mixes, depends how awake I feel

Canopy

I've been listening to some minimal techno sets from Berlin clubs, very repetitive but weirdly hypnotic once you lock in

Glenn84

I've got a 2010s techno marathon on, the kind that slowly escalates until you forget what day it is, honestly dangerous stuff

Danny47

Some old dubstep mixes from 2008 are still unmatched, before everything got too polished, just pure chaos and bass
Gunners for life.

BlackMamba35

I keep going back to garage mixes from the UK scene, they just hit different when you're cooking or cleaning

CosmicRay40

I've got a chillwave set running in the background but I keep getting distracted by how nostalgic it feels for no reason

NeonPhantom39

Currently on a breakcore mix and I swear it either clears your head or breaks your brain, no in between

BretHart_X

Not gonna lie I'm deep in a liquid DnB rabbit hole, started with one mix and now it's been 4 hours and I've barely moved

Bit of a curveball but I'm on a live jazz-fusion DJ set, it sounds chaotic at first but it actually blends surprisingly well

KeyboardWarrior47

I found this long ambient mix labelled "deep focus" and it actually does help, or maybe I'm just convincing myself at this point
