SpaceX is still private, so you cannot normally buy it directly through Trading 212, InvestEngine, Robinhood UK, Freetrade or IG in an ISA or SIPP today. Proper pre IPO access is usually for institutions, insiders, eligible private market investors or specialist funds, not normal free investment apps. IG could become relevant if there is a grey market before a confirmed IPO, but again that would not be the same as owning SpaceX shares inside an ISA. The best UK accessible route before any IPO is usually indirect exposure through investment trusts or funds that already hold private SpaceX shares, such as Scottish Mortgage Investment Trust if your platform offers it. That can often be held in an ISA or SIPP, but you are buying a portfolio, not pure SpaceX. If SpaceX eventually lists in the US, then Trading 212, Freetrade, Robinhood UK and IG are the apps I would watch first for ISA access

I am ready to buy SpaceX if it ever lists, but I do not want some weird private market product with terrible fees and no liquidity
Football is life. Everything else is just details.

Scottish Mortgage is probably the sensible route, even though it feels frustrating because the SpaceX exposure is watered down
VAR can do one

If SpaceX IPOs, the first day will be chaos. I would rather wait a few weeks than buy into peak retail excitement

Robinhood UK could be interesting for this because it is US stock focused, but I would still check ISA eligibility and availability first

For SIPP, I would keep it simple and use a platform with a proper pension setup. Freetrade, IG, HL, AJ Bell or Interactive Investor are more realistic than the ultra simple apps

SpaceX is exactly the kind of company people will overpay for because the story is amazing. Great company does not automatically mean great entry price

RustyHawk

I would buy a tiny amount at IPO just for the long term story. Not rational maybe, but I know myself
