BGR's Sydney Louw Butler has rounded up eight gadgets aimed at comfort and wellness, and it is a decent mix of fitness tech and home comfort. The theme is devices that make daily life a bit more pleasant rather than flashy new categories. Prices range from around $80 to $700, so there is something at most budgets. A few of them stand out

On the fitness side, there is the Hyperice Hypervolt 3 Pro massage gun at $349, which has a heated attachment Butler calls a game changer, plus app routines linked to Garmin and Strava. The Oura Ring 5 at $399 offers more than 50 health metrics from a ring that does not look like tech. Google's Fitbit Air at $99.99 is a screenless tracker that covers the basics without a subscription. And the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 at $699.99 is described as Samsung's best smartwatch yet, with a 5,000 nit screen, dive certification and three day battery

For the home, there is the Govee Lantern floor lamp at $129.99, which works with Matter and adds colour gradients to a room, and the Dreo TurboPoly 765S fan at $159.99, which converts between pedestal and desk use with 11 speeds. The Coway Airmega Mighty2 air purifier at $269.99 captures 99.97 percent of airborne particles and adjusts automatically. The Wyze Smart Scale Bodyscan at $80 tracks 17 metrics, though Butler admits it is less reliable than clinical systems and best for spotting trends

The Fitbit Air is the one I find most interesting. Subscription fatigue is real, and plenty of people just want step counts, sleep and heart rate without paying monthly. Whoop and Oura both lean on subscriptions, so a cheap screenless option without one could be very popular. The air purifier is the most sensible buy on the list for allergy sufferers. Prices for smart rings have been creeping up across the board

Smart rings and screenless trackers seem to be the trend of the year. Do you use any of these? Is a smart ring worth it over a normal watch? And which would you pick from this list if you could only have one?
