For years, too many gadgets felt designed to be replaced rather than repaired. Now there is more pressure for better batteries, spare parts, repair guides, longer software support, and devices that do not become waste the moment one small part fails. Repairable gadgets are good for wallets, the environment, and basic ownership, because buying something should not mean renting it until the manufacturer loses interest

Repairability should be part of reviews, not a niche concern for hobbyists

Longer software support matters just as much as physical repair. A working device can still become useless if updates stop
