Quantum is one of those subjects where the more you learn, the stranger it gets. Take the famous double-slit experiment: send individual electrons towards two slits, and over time, the detections build up an interference pattern that shows wave-like behaviour.

Try to measure which slit each electron goes through, and the interference pattern disappears. It's not that the electron is being shy and refusing to tell us where it went. The measurement changes the physical situation in a way that affects the interference. Welcome to the forum, by the way!
