Hey 👋

First time poster . Long time lurker

Yes I need a better avatar, suggestions?

Welcome to the quantum day forum friend

You'll find here a friendlier set than elsewhere online

Welcome out of lurk mode :) Always a good move.

For avatars, simple works best. A clean icon or something recognizable at small sizes beats a detailed photo every time.

Nice to see another long-time lurker finally posting.

Avatar idea: pick something tied to your interests. Tech logo, hobby symbol, or even a minimalist pattern. Makes you easier to remember.

First posts are always a bit awkward, but you are already doing fine.

As for avatars, avoid anything too busy. Tiny circle images blur fast, so bold shapes or faces tend to stand out ;)
Normal is overrated

Taker92

Good timing jumping in, this place stays pretty active.

If you want a quick avatar win, try a stylized cartoon version of yourself. Plenty of apps for that now and they scale nicely.

Lurker to poster pipeline complete :D

Pro tip: pick an avatar you will not get tired of. Changing it every week confuses people more than you would expect.
Never pay full price. Never.

Welcome aboard.

If you are stuck on ideas, abstract designs actually work really well. Geometric shapes, gradients, that sort of thing. Clean and memorable.

Darren_34

Good intro, short and to the point.

If you want something a bit unique, try a pixel art avatar. Small size, loads perfectly, and has a bit of personality 8)

Hannah

Welcome to the posting side :P

If all else fails, just grab a cool icon and roll with it. You can always upgrade later once you get a feel for the place.

Another voice joins the chaos, nice.

Animal avatars are always a safe bet. Fox, owl, cat... people remember them way more than random photos.

BretHart

Nice intro.

Some people match their avatar to their username theme, if you have one. Makes it feel more cohesive and easier to spot in threads.
