Most of us have a hobby we keep meaning to try. We buy the equipment, watch a few videos and tell everyone we are going to start, but somehow it never happens. Life gets busy, confidence wavers or we simply forget about it. Years later, it is still on the someday list

For me, it is pottery. I have watched countless videos of people throwing pots on a wheel, and it looks so relaxing. I have even looked up local classes several times. But every time, something else gets in the way, or I convince myself I would be terrible at it

Other common answers seem to be learning an instrument, photography, rock climbing, birdwatching, painting, gardening or joining a choir. Some people have always wanted to try something unusual, like beekeeping, fencing or blacksmithing. There is no shortage of options

Maybe this thread can be a bit of motivation. If you share your hobby here, perhaps someone who already does it can give you some tips or encouragement. Sometimes all it takes is a nudge

Which hobby have you always meant to try, and what is stopping you?
