Mine's embarrassingly simple, buttered toast with a fried egg on top and way too much hot sauce, takes four minutes and somehow fixes at least sixty percent of any bad day I'm having

Not looking for anyone's impressive dinner party recipe here, specifically want the thing you make when you're exhausted or sad or just completely checked out and cooking feels like too much effort but you still need to eat something

There's something genuinely comforting about how universal this thread always ends up being, everyone's got some slightly embarrassing go to that would never make it onto an actual menu anywhere

Instant ramen with an egg cracked directly into the boiling broth, been my exact move since college and honestly never really stopped needing it

Grilled cheese, always grilled cheese, doesn't matter what mood I'm in, some part of my brain associates it permanently with being a kid and everything being fine
The truth is usually more complicated than the headline

Boar

Boxed mac and cheese, the cheap powdered kind specifically, not the fancy version, something about the exact nostalgia of it just hits different
