Running a genuine eight week running challenge here. Loosely based on the classic couch to 5K structure, gradually building up run intervals over eight weeks toward comfortably running a full 5K by the end, whether you're a total beginner or just getting back into running after time off.

Post where you're actually starting from. Complete beginner, returning after a break, already running but wanting real structure, and check in weekly with how the actual training is going, what felt hard, what felt surprisingly manageable.

The classic structure alternates walking and running intervals early on. Gradually shifting the ratio toward more running each week, but feel free to genuinely adjust the specific pace to your own actual body rather than rigidly forcing a schedule that isn't working for you personally.

No pressure at all to hit an impressive time. The actual goal here is simply completing a full 5K comfortably by week eight, speed is genuinely a separate goal for a completely different challenge down the road.

Post your starting point below and let's actually build some real accountability together over these eight weeks. Nothing keeps a running habit going quite like knowing other people are genuinely checking in too

Any plan for some kind of final check in at week eight where everyone shares how their actual first full 5K attempt clearly went? Worth remembering
