Building a PC is intimidating until you do it. Then it's meditative. Everything clicks together. You understand your machine. Upgrade process becomes less scary. You make decisions about components based on understanding not marketing. The learning is part of the satisfaction. Did you build recently? What did you learn? What surprised you? The process teaches more than the finished computer.
