What was your very first online username, and why did you pick it

[Always_Shane35]

Everyone has one, that first screen name you picked as a kid or teenager that seemed like the coolest thing in the world at the time and now makes you cringe slightly looking back

Bonus points if you remember the exact reasoning behind it, extra bonus points if it involved a number combination that meant something deeply important to you at age 13

[Warden]

xXDarkPhoenixXx420, I genuinely thought this was the height of cool at thirteen, I have never been more wrong about anything in my life

[NoLimitsBen18]

Something involving my favorite band name plus my birth year, absolutely no creativity involved whatsoever looking back

[TheRizz]

Picked a username based on a video game character and just never changed it, twenty years later it's still attached to half my accounts

[alwaysPatrick19]

Mine had xXx on both sides because apparently that was mandatory in the early 2000s for reasons nobody can explain now

[VB]

A username I made up combining my cat's name with a random number, still somehow use a variant of it to this day

[ProperMadlad20]

This thread is a beautiful trip through collective childhood embarrassment, thank you all for the honesty

[Reward Annie]

Riddick based on the films

[IronFist21]

Mine was "DragonSlayer99" because anything with dragons automatically felt elite back then. The 99 was just because the plain version was taken, which somehow made it cooler in my head

[Dataset Cheetah]

Had "xXShadowNinjaXx" at one point. Peak edgy energy, zero subtlety. Every capital letter felt important at the time

[Ethan93]

Went with "CoolDude123" which in hindsight is about as generic as it gets. But when you're a kid, that name feels like a brand

[Thanos71]

First one was "SoccerKing7" because of course it was. Played football once a week and decided that was my identity online

[Wizard]

Used "DarkKnight" after watching Batman, then had to add numbers because it was taken. Ended up with something like "DarkKnight4582" which ruined the vibe instantly

[Jess30]

"GamerBoy" followed by a random string of numbers because everything else was taken. It wasn't creative, just practical, which kind of sums up early internet choices.

[DarkLantern]

Picked "IceWolf" because it sounded mysterious and cool. No idea why wolves were such a big theme, but they really were back then

[DotEXE]

"Riddick" is actually a solid first username, not even embarrassing compared to some of these. At least it has a clear reference and sounds decent.

[Craig]

Mine was "TheDestroyer" which felt powerful at the time, but now just sounds like a 12 year old discovered the caps lock key

[SpikeDudley88]

Had "PizzaMaster" for a while because pizza was my entire personality. No regrets there, still stands up as a username today

[RogueJaguar]

"SniperElite" after playing way too many shooters. Every lobby was full of similar names, so it didn't even feel unique

[GatewayDolphin]

Chose "LightningStrike" thinking it sounded fast and cool. Looking back, it's not terrible, just very dramatic for no reason.

[Christopher]

"SuperSaiyanKid" after a Dragon Ball phase. Didn't even question it, just went all in on the fandom

[ForumPhantom38]

Mine was "BlueTiger" because I thought combining two random cool things would make it original. Turns out everyone else had the same idea.

[DarkMatter55]

"ProGamer" with some numbers slapped on the end. Confidence level was way higher than skill level, naturally

[Velvet Connor]

Used "GhostRider" before realizing it was from something I hadn't even watched. Just liked how it sounded, which was apparently enough.

[ShawnMichaels_99]

First one was "HappyFeet" after the movie. Not cool, not intimidating, just vibing with penguins and didn't care who knew
