What does the inside of a decision feel like right before you make it?

Not asking what you decided or why, just curious what that specific moment actually feels like from the inside, right before the choice actually lands. There's a strange split second where multiple versions of a decision seem to exist at once before one wins out. Curious if anyone's ever actually paid attention to what that feels like

Some people describe it as a kind of pressure building until it releases, others say it feels more like a door quietly closing on its own somewhere behind their eyes. Doesn't need to make logical sense, just genuinely curious what people notice in that instant. Feels like a moment most of us live through constantly without ever really looking at it directly

Mine feels like a held breath finally letting go, like something was waiting the entire time for permission. The actual decision barely registers, it's the letting go part that sticks. Strange how rarely I've ever noticed that before this thread

A kind of static settling into a single clear channel is the closest description I've got. Everything's noisy and uncertain right up until suddenly it isn't anymore. No idea when exactly that switch happens either

For me it's almost physical, a small drop in the stomach like stepping off a curb you didn't quite see coming.

The decision itself feels almost secondary to that little physical jolt. Wonder if that's just my particular nervous system's way of marking the moment

Weirdly it feels like relief arriving slightly before the actual decision does, like my body already knew and my mind was just catching up late. Happens with big decisions and tiny ones equally strangely enough. Never really thought about that timing gap until now

There's a kind of narrowing sensation right before mine, like a hallway getting smaller until only one door's left standing. Everything else just quietly disappears from view. Sounds dramatic written out but it happens in less than a second usually
