Nostalgia is strange because it is often triggered by tiny ordinary things rather than major life events

A smell from a certain shampoo, the sound of a television late at night, old computer startup noises, specific sweets, bus tickets, or hearing a song in a supermarket can suddenly pull memories out of nowhere

Sometimes the smallest details carry entire periods of life inside them without warning
