Not the big injustices, the TINY ones. This thread collects the completely disproportionate irritations, the minor daily occurrences that produce a reaction the offence in no way justifies, and the first rule is you must ADMIT it is unreasonable, that admission is the entry fee

Examples to set the calibration, people who stop dead at the top of escalators, the packaging that says easy open, videos that could have been a sentence, the colleague who replies to a detailed email answering only the least important of the four questions

The interesting second layer, where do you think yours came FROM, because these things always have an origin story, a job, a parent, a formative queue, and half the fun of the thread is watching people trace the archaeology of their own irritation mid post

House rule for the peace, no arguing that someone's peeve is not annoying, the entire premise is that these are unreasonable, we are comparing malfunctions, not ranking them

Terminator

Admitting it is unreasonable as required, people who say the word literally when things are figurative do not deserve the surge of feeling I experience, the origin is an English teacher I had in 1994 and she knows what she did

GlobalOliver15

The email one is not unreasonable and I refuse the premise, answering one of four questions should be a workplace disciplinary matter, I will accept my ban from the thread
Cashback on everything or it didn't happen

Cheeky Kernel

Ban accepted per the rules but we have all been there, mine is the reply that just says thanks with the actual question ignored, a tiny daily haunting

Drift Sentinel

Cutlery drawer sorted wrong, specifically forks in the knife section, completely unreasonable, traced honestly to a grandmother whose kitchen ran like a naval vessel, the archaeology took me four seconds and forty years

Velvet Connor

People walking slowly three abreast on a pavement, I am aware they are enjoying their lives and have every right, the malfunction fires anyway, origin unknown, possibly factory installed

Freddy95

The videos that could have been a sentence peeve has evolved a modern subspecies, recipes that begin with someone's life story, I scrolled through a divorce to find out how long to roast a chicken
Football is life. Everything else is just details.

Nadir Compass

Scrolled through a divorce to roast a chicken is the forum quote of the month and it is only the fifth

NightHarbour91

Mine is packaging arrows that point to where the opening ALLEGEDLY is, the arrow is a lie, the tab detaches, scissors are fetched, and a small part of me writes an angry letter that is never sent, unreasonable and cherished

NeuralSeer

The escalator stoppers from the calibration list have a cousin, people who pause in doorways to decide their next move, doorways are for THROUGH, the origin is twenty years of commuting and I would testify to this in court
Have you tried turning it off and on again?

Rabbit

Wet sleeve from a splashy tap in a public toilet, an offence committed by plumbing against nobody in particular, and yet I take it personally every single time, no origin, just grievance

Aaron

Reading the thread conclusion, everyone's malfunction traces to either a formative authority figure or two decades of commuting, we are all just walking archives of minor friction and honestly it is nice to compare collections
