Started as a joke in another thread but I genuinely want to know. Has anyone here gone deep enough into this field that they have a physics or computing tattoo. Schrodinger equations, Bloch sphere, qubit state notation, a Feynman diagram. I know this community exists because I have seen the photos on Twitter and Reddit and I refuse to believe none of them are here.

I do not have one but I have thought about a Bloch sphere because the visual is clean and it works as art even if you do not know what it represents. My partner has vetoed it twice on the grounds that it looks like a geography diagram of a planet, which is not entirely wrong.

If you do not have one, what would you get if you were brave enough. Or alternatively, what is the most niche possible physics reference that would still function as a coherent tattoo design. This is important research

I have a small Schrodinger equation on my forearm and I have been explaining it to confused strangers for eleven years

VidiTechnica

Be excellent to each other

FrostBear

Mostly yes, occasionally very much no depending on the stranger

Danny47

My friend has a Feynman diagram of electron positron annihilation and it genuinely looks like modern art if you do not know what it is
Gunners for life.

That is the ideal tattoo metric, looks like art to civilians, communicates something real to people who know

I have been considering the Bell inequality violation symbol for about three years and keep chickening out
rm -rf /bad-ideas

Always_Craig96

Do it, Bell inequality violation is actually a wild concept to have permanently on your body if you think about what it means
git commit -m "fixed everything"

I would get the quantum eraser experiment diagram if I could find an artist who could do it justice

WWEPete45

A Bloch sphere with the North Pole labelled zero and the South Pole labelled one would be clean, your partner is wrong

EdgeRatedR

Anyone with a qubit circuit diagram tattoo, that seems like it would age badly as the notation evolves
Press F to pay respects

Valid concern, Dirac notation though is pretty stable and looks elegant
Just here for the craic :)
