Moved away from my hometown for a decade and honestly the place I moved to genuinely won on almost every practical measure, weather, job opportunities, cost of living, all of it. Still visit and enjoy my hometown but calling it objectively the best would genuinely be pure nostalgia talking at this point. Familiarity and quality aren't always the same thing
