Q: When we buy digital films, games or software, are we buying ownership or just temporary access?

A: In practice it often feels like temporary access. Accounts can be closed, stores can shut down and licences can change long after people paid.

That does not mean digital media is bad. It is convenient and often cheaper, but people should understand the tradeoff and keep backups where they legally can
