This has been on my mind lately.

Part of the reason I asked is because I would rather get a range of actual opinions.

I suspect the answer is more nuanced than it first looks, which is why I wanted to ask people who have been there.

Real world experience is always more useful than the theoretical answer.

What would you do in this situation?
