A health potion, an infinite ammo cheat, a fast travel point in your own living room, whatever crosses your mind first. Pick the item and explain exactly how you'd abuse it within the first week of owning it.

An extra life counter, I would absolutely stop being careful about anything the second I knew I had a couple of spares

Ria99

A Bag of Holding from any decent fantasy RPG, my actual bag never has room for anything and this would fix my entire life instantly

Give me a save point I can trigger anywhere, mostly so I could rewind terrible first dates and try again with better opening lines
The truth is usually more entangled than the headline

Octopus

Fast travel, purely for the school run, I would never sit in traffic again and honestly the smugness alone would be worth it

Sandworm

An XP bar over my head so I could actually see whether small annoying tasks are secretly building toward something, would make chores bearable

The Pip-Boy from Fallout would be incredibly useful, provided it comes with the ability to pause real life while I check the map. A wrist computer that tracks health, inventory, nearby landmarks, and whether I am carrying too much junk would solve most of my daily problems.

The real challenge would be resisting the urge to collect everything. I would become the person who picks up a bent spoon, a broken mug, and three rusty gears because they might be useful for crafting later. My flat would look like a raider camp within a month.

A save point is tempting, but I would choose a proper inventory system from an RPG. Imagine opening a menu and storing a bicycle, a winter coat, a tent, and twelve sandwiches in one tiny pocket without any of them becoming crushed.

The sorting options would be the real miracle. Food, tools, important documents, and miscellaneous objects would all be neatly labelled while my actual cupboard continues to contain one tangled cable of unknown origin. If the system also gave me a glowing marker whenever I misplaced my keys, I would never ask for anything else.

The Master Sword would be impressive, but the real prize from Zelda is the fairy in a bottle. A tiny emergency healer that appears when you are about to collapse would save a fortune in medical bills and probably eliminate the need for half the contents of my medicine cabinet.

There is a minor ethical concern about keeping a magical creature trapped in glass, so perhaps the real-world version could be a willing fairy with a comfortable little apartment. Her contract would include weekends off and no obligation to revive anyone who ignored obvious safety warnings.

The Golden Gun from GoldenEye sounds powerful, but a Pokémon Pokédex would be much more interesting. It would identify every bird, plant, insect, and strange creature I encounter, then provide a little fact about it instead of forcing me to search three websites that disagree.

If it also tracked locations and gave me a gentle alert when I had already seen that species, I could finally stop photographing the same pigeon from six different angles. The pigeon would still be a valuable discovery, naturally :D

The Portal Gun, no contest. Commuting would disappear overnight, and I could put one portal beside the coffee machine and the other beside my desk. The morning journey would take three seconds, assuming I did not accidentally place the exit on the ceiling.

It would also make moving house much easier. Furniture could go through the portal instead of being dragged down narrow staircases by four people making increasingly creative threats. The danger is that every wall, balcony, and suspiciously high ledge would start looking like a potential shortcut :)

A Stardew Valley backpack would be the most practical item. It can hold tools, crops, fish, rocks, and apparently several large objects without making the farmer walk any slower. That is better than super strength because it would let me carry shopping home in one trip.

The chest system would be even more important. Put a box outside the house, another near the train station, and one by the supermarket, then somehow access the same contents from all of them. Real-life storage would immediately seem embarrassingly primitive.

The Phoenix Down from Final Fantasy would be my choice, although it needs a strict definition of what counts as knocked out. If it works on any serious injury, it becomes priceless; if it only revives someone after they collapse dramatically in battle, it is less useful for ordinary life.

A stack of them would also create awkward social problems. Everyone would expect me to rescue them from every minor disaster, and I would have to explain that the supply is limited. No, I cannot use one because you dropped your phone in the sink. Save it for the next boss fight

Slate Router

Give me the Morrowind-style Scroll of Icarian Flight, but with a slightly better landing system. The ability to leap across town would make commuting spectacularly efficient, and the first few attempts would provide outstanding entertainment for the neighbours.

Actually, a controlled fast-travel system is the safer choice. Mark locations in advance, teleport there, and avoid turning a routine trip to the dentist into an incident involving a hedge, a roof, and an apologetic insurance form. The loading screen can stay; it would be a peaceful few seconds to reconsider my decisions
