Preordered a certain open world game purely on marketing hype, launched buggy and hollow, took nearly a year of patches before it became worth what I paid

[Glassy Falcon]

Bought a sequel at launch expecting the same quality as the original, turned out to be a rushed cash grab that soured me on the whole franchise

[Freddie_85]

Paid full price for a remaster that turned out to be barely different from the original, felt like a blatant nostalgia cash grab in hindsight

[Freddy52]

Preordered based purely on a beloved developer's reputation alone, turned out to be their weakest release in years and I felt foolish for not waiting

[ForumPhantom38]

Paid full price for a game with a broken launch that made it borderline unplayable for the first month, should have waited for reviews like I always tell myself I will next time

[Plateau70]

Preordered a game based purely on a single flashy trailer, turned out to be repetitive and hollow once the initial impressive visuals wore off

[Rachel]

Bought a live service game at launch that shut down its servers less than a year later, learned my lesson about preordering anything online only after that
