VR heist game Payday: Aces High launches on 5 November

Payday is heading into virtual reality. Gematsu's Sal Romano reports that Fast Travel Games and Starbreeze have set Payday: Aces High for release on 5 November 2026, on SteamVR and Meta Quest, priced at 24.99 dollars. A release date trailer came with the announcement

Up to four players take on the role of Aces, elite heisters who have been framed and jailed by tycoon Warren Jupiter. The plan is revenge, by robbing his banks, museums and penthouse

The game keeps the familiar Payday structure of planning, picking loadouts and escaping as alarms and heat rise. The arsenal includes rifles, submachine guns, shotguns and pistols, along with gadgets like grapples and sentry guns

There are four Aces to choose from: the Mastermind, the Ghost, the Technician and the Enforcer. Erik Odeldahl of Fast Travel Games and Starbreeze chief executive Adolf Kristjansson both commented after the final playtest

Co-op heists sound like a natural fit for VR, where physically sneaking, aiming and grabbing loot should feel great. Fast Travel Games has experience with VR shooters, which helps. Starbreeze will hope this does better than Payday 3's troubled launch
