Ubisoft has given an update on the future of Assassin's Creed. GamesRadar reports that, in its autumn 2026 Assassin's Creed blog post, Ubisoft said it is not currently working on another remake after Black Flag Resynced

The company said it is super proud of what the Resynced team delivered and may revisit older games in the future. It added that projects players have not heard about yet are in development

Codename Invictus, the multiplayer project, is still in development and is evolving in an exciting direction, according to Ubisoft. Hexe, the next mainline game with a witchcraft theme, is making steady progress, but there is still work ahead

The next major update on Hexe is due in 2027. No new games or release windows were announced in the update

It is a fairly quiet update, but it confirms Hexe is on track and that Ubisoft is not leaning too heavily on remakes. Black Flag Resynced was well received, so fans might have hoped for more. Hexe's witch hunt setting remains one of the most intriguing ideas in the series
