Before tutorials got built into every single game, you had an actual paper manual in the box, sometimes with genuinely good artwork and lore. Did you actually read yours cover to cover before playing, or dive straight in and only check it when truly desperate
Question everything. Especially this.

Read mine cover to cover in the car on the way home before I'd even gotten to play the actual game, pure anticipation torture
