No More Heroes fans have something to look forward to next year. VGC reports that Goichi Suda, known as Suda51 and chief executive of Grasshopper Manufacture, told Famitsu that the studio is planning to deliver something special for the series' 20th anniversary

Suda said publisher Marvelous is well aware of the anniversary and that they would definitely like to do something together to mark it. Asked about Travis Touchdown, he said the character will definitely be back

The first No More Heroes launched in Japan on 6 December 2007 and in the West in 2008. The series includes three main games plus Travis Strikes Again, all first released on Nintendo platforms

In 2022, Suda called No More Heroes 3 Travis's last battle, so a full sequel is not certain. Grasshopper's latest game is Romeo is a Dead Man, and the studio left NetEase in September 2026. The format of the anniversary project is unknown, and the quotes come from machine translations

No More Heroes is one of gaming's most unusual series, full of punk style and strange humour. A 20th anniversary project could be anything from a remaster collection to a new game. Grasshopper regaining its independence might give Suda more freedom to do something bold

What would you like for No More Heroes' 20th anniversary? And should Travis get one more full adventure?
