Sony's revamped PlayStation Pulse headset launches alongside GTA 6

Sony has dated its new headset, and the timing is no accident. Push Square's Sammy Barker reports that the revamped PlayStation Pulse headset launches on 19 November 2026, the same day as Grand Theft Auto 6

The new Pulse replaces the Pulse Elite and uses larger planar drivers for better sound. It connects to the PS5 and PlayStation Portal using Sony's PS Link wireless technology, and to other devices over Bluetooth. The microphone has AI noise cancelling, and it comes in white or midnight black

A more expensive model called the Pulse Edge is planned for 2027. It will have a detachable boom microphone and improved drivers, aimed at more serious players

Launching a headset on GTA 6 day is smart marketing, because millions of people will be buying accessories that week. Planar drivers at this price are a good sign for sound quality. PS Link support is a nice bonus for Portal owners
