Gaming communities continue to debate the value of single player experiences versus live service games that evolve over time. Both models have strong supporters and clear weaknesses.

Single player games often deliver strong narratives and polished experiences, while live service games focus on long term engagement and updates.

The industry seems to be trying to balance both approaches, but not always successfully.
