Rockstar has put previews of six GTA 6 radio stations on its website ahead of the game's launch next month, TechRadar reports. For the first time in the series, the game will also have on demand podcasts. Players can listen in vehicles or on foot, through headphones connected to the character's smartphone. That last detail is a neat way of letting you take music out of the car

The six stations cover a broad range. Cocoteo FM plays Latin music with El Martillo and La Gata. Back Country Radio is country, hosted by MW and Delta Dawne. AfroBank FM features African music from Burna and Palmsy

There is plenty more. The Chamber 106.6 is a metal station with DJ Kerry and DJ Tom, and Rockstar's own line is that crushing metal has landed in Leonida. Flash FM returns as a pop station with Robyn and Alex. Dirty South Classics covers regional rap and hip hop, hosted by Trick and Trina

Rockstar describes the game as having the biggest and widest ranging selection of in game radio and podcasts yet. It has already previewed Grand Theft Auto 6: The Album. Radio has always been one of the best parts of GTA, from the talk shows to the adverts. Fans will be poring over every second of these previews

The podcast idea is clever. It gives Rockstar a new place for its satire, which has always been sharpest on talk radio. Being able to listen on foot also fits a game that is likely to have a lot of exploring outside vehicles. Flash FM coming back will please anyone who remembers Vice City

Which GTA radio station is your all time favourite? And are you excited about podcasts in GTA 6?
