Palworld could one day come to Nintendo's newest console. Video Games Chronicle reports that Pocketpair chief executive Takuro Mizobe said a Switch 2 version is a real possibility, answering of course when asked directly

Mizobe called the Switch 2 an amazing platform, especially in Japan, and said that if an opportunity arose to discuss bringing Palworld to the console, Pocketpair would love to have those conversations

His tone has shifted over time. In June 2024, Mizobe said a Switch version looked unlikely for technical reasons. In March 2025, communications director John Buckley called Palworld a beefy game, but said a Switch 2 port was absolutely worth considering

There is an obvious complication. Nintendo filed a patent lawsuit against Pocketpair in September 2024, which was later narrowed after Pocketpair removed some contested mechanics. Mizobe would not discuss the case because it is ongoing

It is an interesting stance, given the legal dispute with Nintendo itself. Palworld has been a huge hit, and the Switch 2 has the power to run more demanding games than its predecessor. For now this is openness to a port rather than an announcement

Would you play Palworld on Switch 2? And could a port happen while the legal case continues?
