Palworld left early access behind on July 10 with its full 1.0 launch, and the patch notes reportedly run 27 pages long. The creature collecting survival crafting game is adding a proper Wing Pack for aerial exploration alongside a big pile of new weapons, gear and additional story driven content that early access never really delivered

The game blew up when it first launched in early access, largely off the back of its slightly cheeky Pokemon adjacent creature designs mixed with base building and survival crafting mechanics. Whether 1.0 can recapture that initial explosive attention now that the internet has moved on to other things is the real open question here

What stands out about this particular 1.0 launch is the sheer scope of the patch notes. A lot of early access games quietly limp toward a version 1.0 label without much fanfare or substance behind it, so 27 pages of actual changes and additions suggests the developers used the early access period for genuine iteration rather than just collecting money while treading water

For anyone who bounced off Palworld early on because it felt unfinished, or who has just been waiting for the full release before jumping in, this is probably the moment to actually give it a proper look. A survival crafting game with a Wing Pack for sky exploration is a pretty different pitch than the base game people remember from launch

27 pages of patch notes for a 1.0 release is genuinely wild, most early access games barely manage a couple paragraphs by the time they hit full release

The Wing Pack sounds like exactly the kind of addition that changes how the whole game gets played, curious how it integrates with the base building

Wonder if this actually reignites the original hype wave or if the internet has just moved on for good at this point

Games that use their early access period for real iteration instead of just sitting there deserve more credit than they usually get

I bounced off it early on because it felt half finished, might actually be time to go back and give the full version a fair shot now

Creature collecting plus survival crafting is such a good combination on paper, hope the 1.0 content finally does it justice
