The latest Switch Sports game looks like a big success. Nintendo Life's Jim Norman has reviewed Nintendo Switch Sports Resort on Switch 2 and given it 9 out of 10, describing it as a winning return to Wuhu Island. The game launches on 22 October at 49.99 dollars in the US and 41.99 pounds in the UK

There are 12 sports in total. Tennis, Volleyball, Bowling, Basketball and Golf return, while Boxing, Table Tennis, Archery, Thumb Wrestling, Power Cruising, Prop Plane and Skateboarding are new

Norman picks out Table Tennis, Archery and Thumb Wrestling as highlights. There is also a new single player mode called Island Crown, and character customisation is much better than before

It is not perfect. Boxing is the weakest sport, with motion controls that sometimes falter. Some sports feel similar to each other, and the random items in the weekly shop are a drawback. Even so, the review says it may be the best game in the series

Wuhu Island brings back happy memories of Wii Sports Resort, which was one of the best party games ever made. Adding a proper single player mode helps the game's long term appeal. It sounds like a perfect Christmas game for families

Will you be picking up Switch Sports Resort? And which sport are you most excited to try?
