Halo Studios just teased a Halo 2 remake without technically confirming anything

Halo Studios has all but confirmed it is working on a remake of Halo 2, likely on a similar scale to the recently released Halo: Campaign Evolved, through a secret cutscene hidden behind the game's hardest difficulty. Players who beat Halo: Campaign Evolved on Legendary are shown Sergeant Johnson relaxing on the beach from The Silent Cartographer, cigar and sandwich in hand, before an explosion rocks the ring in the distance and a Pelican arrives to extract him. As he boards, Johnson turns and breaks the fourth wall entirely, telling the camera directly, well, that's my cue. See you in the sequel

A separate post credits scene reinforces the tease further, showing the AI construct 343 Guilty Spark flying off toward a gas giant, setting up the exact scenario where Guilty Spark first meets the Arbiter at the start of Halo 2's story. Neither scene technically confirms a remake is in development, and Halo Studios has made no official announcement, but outlets covering the reveal described it as about as close to an explicit setup as you can get without an actual confirmation
